Engagement: Susan and Emma

On June 26, 2013, The U.S. Supreme Court made history with its rulings on same-sex marriage in the state of California. It's still vivid in my memory when Emma told me how anxious they were with what is going to happen on this day- the day Supreme court upholds law for same-sex marriage. So when I learned over the news the favorable decision, I couldn't be happier. It might be unknown to many but 5 out of the 8 godfathers of our son are gay. Yep. That's right. They are gay. Two of Russell's aunts are also gay. So you can probably say that gays really have a spot in our hearts.

Susan and Emma are very first gay couple (and we hope we get to cover more gay weddings in the future!). We had their engagement shoot on June 15th and the timing to post their e-session photos couldn't be more timely. We started our shoot at their cozy apartment in L.A. because they want to have their fluffy bunny to be part of their engagement photos (and yeah, the bunny is just too adorable!). Afterwards, we headed to Beverly Gardens Park and Beverly Hills City Hall. Emma said she hasn't been into any type of photo shoot but her photos prove otherwise. Susan, on the other hand, is just so down. She's the "I'll do whatever you want me to do" type of person which actually works to our advantage. We really had fun!

We couldn't be more excited with their wedding this July. But for now, we hope that you enjoy they engagement photos as much as we do. :)
