Jah and Rich have been dating for over 15 years. 15 freaking years?!! That's almost half of the lifetime for most of our clients. We can only imagine how many ups and downs,  challenges and trials they have been through. And after all these years, their relationship is still getting stronger. Less than a month from now, they will finally (it is about darn time!) tie the knot. :)

Early this year, Jah reached out to us, introduced themselves and shared to us how they envisioned their wedding celebration is going to be. After few exchanges of emails and setting proper expectations, we both signed the contract. The deal was officially 'sealed' even without meeting each other. Right then and there, trust was built between us.

We did not meet Jah and Rich until mid-August when we shot their save-the-date video shoot.  Instantly, we can tell that there was an instant rapport between the client and the vendor. It was as if we have known each other for quite some time. Shooting their video was such a breeze. That is why we could not wait for their wedding to happen this September!

If there is one thing to describe Karen and Eiro's engagement video, that would be HEARTFELT. The moment Karen knew what the questions were, she started to be emotional. Mind you, this is just a save the date video. We can only imagine how it is going to be when they exchange their vows on their wedding day. Gosh! The wedding season is almost here. It is crunch time for us to update this blog. We are yet to post 2 wedding video highlights and 3 save the date videos. Our followers will definitely see significant updates next month. :)

On another note, we are sharing the Beauty and the Beast-inspired save the date video of Jen and T. When we were conceptualizing their video, this is something that came to their minds so we happily obliged. Before we shot this session, Jen asked us if they can use props, more specifically a plastic rose as a prop. Little did we know that this beautiful prop played an interesting and lovely role during their 10-year relationship. :)

Diana and Andrew have been together for such a long time that imagining them apart is not even possible. When we first met them, we knew how much they love and adore each other. The way Andrew talks about Diana and the way Diana looks at Andrew will tell you beyond words how they complete each other.

It has been awhile since we did their engagement session. On that day, we were surprised that Pasadena City Hall (which is a popular location for engagement shoot) was closed for a private function. The disappointment was redeemed when we went to our Plan B, Downtown Los Angeles where we achieved the images we were aiming for.  Although we were pressed with time, working together with Andrew and Diana was seamless. They allowed us to execute the extent of creativity we want to execute. As we did their engagement photo shoot, we also shot their save-the-date video. They have actually hired their wedding videographer but during that time, we were trying to establish our video portfolio. This is one of the last videoshoot from 2016 we are going to share. The next videos you will see are wedding highlights where we were able to fully maximize our video equipment. :) We hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed shooting it.

MY SECOND TAKE ON SAVE THE DATE VIDEO: Horrendous traffic. Super early unanticipated sunset. Scarce source of natural light. Hightide. The events that happened on this shooting day could not be even worse.

The only reason that made our day is the fact that we are shooting the engagement session and save the date video of these friends. It is not a secret that I do not have any family member here in the west coast. But I have found a family in Joyce (and of course Nick). Joyce introduced Russell to Anne who introduced and referred him to the rest of their friends. They have always been the biggest supporters of Russell. And with that, I will be forever thankful to them. And it is only right to give them back the best thing we can offer- the best save the date video I can give them (engagement photos will be blogged soon!).

When they got engaged, their friends and family members got nothing to say but, "FINALLY!" This was a wedding 10 years in the making. No time and distance broke Mary and Rory apart. October 28, 2016 is indeed the beginning of their happily-ever-after!

For Russ and Thet Studio, this is the beginning of our wedding videography service. :)  We learned a lot as we shot Mary and Rory's engagement session in photo and video format. Considering this Save-The-Date video was shot with only one camera man (or woman!) and no second camera equipment, we think Russ and Thet Studio did a decent job here.
